Preparing for the birth: Alternative methods

The traditional way of preparing for the birth of your child involves getting to know the different stages of pregnancy and preparing yourself for the big moment so that you know exactly what you’re going through at every step.

But there are also different approaches, some of which are extremely popular at the moment: haptonomy, sophrology, acupuncture, prenatal singing and fascia therapy, to name a few…

If it all sounds a bit Greek to you, we’ve compiled a guide to some alternative methods. They are not intended to replace traditional birthing methods in any way; what they can do is complement traditional methods for an easier pregnancy and delivery.
