What mums say about childcare in day nurseries

When choosing a nursery, ask if they are happy for you to turn up any time without an appointment so you can see what really goes on. Also, if your children are already in nursery, pick them up early occasionally when they are not expecting you.

It was easy for me as I work at a nursery and that is where my son goes. I know and trust all the staff and I know it’s a good nursery. I can understand how it is difficult; after all, you are trusting your child with strangers. If you’re looking for childcare, I would always advise that you find a place that you feel comfortable in and where the children look happy, and that you always check out their Ofsted report first.
