Everybody grows up and gets older. We become aware of time passing us by when dad starts to get tired and becomes less active. And we're apprehensive about him disappearing from our lives forever. This makes some women get closer to their father, to make the most of the time they have. They re-establish the bond that might have been a bit neglected and devote more time to him.
The roles are reversed: the little girl becomes the grown-up one as she takes care of her dad, worrying about his health and going to see him regularly to hear what he's been up to. Some women feel the need to settle past disputes and try to re-establish contact or search for him if he's disappeared from their life. Whatever the circumstances, it's a difficult time but a time that's marked by great tenderness and a time to make peace.
