Why we love it: Geena Davis is brilliant as Mackenzie, and the series is really topical – you start to wonder what it would be like to have a female president, and everyone’s talking about it. Someone asked Bill Clinton recently if he thought that one day a woman would become President. He replied: “There already is one: Geena Davies!” 

Watch it with: Your partner. Commander in Chief really opens up the debate on the roles of men and women. When Mackenzie becomes President, her husband becomes the first First Man in US history, and this role reversal is really interesting.
