Why do you study time?
Because I realised that the issue of time preoccupies everyone: young and old, male and female, believers and non-believers. And because when I reached a certain age myself I started thinking more and more about the passage of time!
What would you say to our readers who have problems with time, and what are the keys to good time management?
Everyone has their own individual issues with time, and there are various pointers which can help you to cope with it better. Here are a few:
-Think about all the people and all the things you don't make enough time for in the present. One day, when the present becomes the past, it will be too late.
-When you think about the past, try and see your (most likely) future mapped out ahead of you at the same time, at the other end of the scale. Look in both directions.
-Make a note of the amount of time you really have for yourself during the day. Catnaps on your desk aside, sleeping time doesn't count!
-When you see old people, try and imagine what they were like when they were young, for a more complete perspective.
