As a therapist, I came to realize that most couple are very earnest in their desire to move into greater intimacy, but so often at a loss as to where or how to begin.
The "talking about sex" suggestion is great, and precisely what we've developed into a very cool "play on the go" card game for couples to enjoy wherever they might be. Couples play this over the phone, while in a five minute drive in the car, while waiting in line for a movie, or sometimes, over a quiet lingering meal at their favourite haunt.
This is NOT your typical "game for couples," but rather, a compelling and fun way for couples to reinvigorate their own "private affair," through risky conversation, exploring new plans together, and considering new promises to each other.
