I've got a great trick if I want to get someone's attention: I literally stare at a guy until he comes over. I tell him I'm short-sighted and haven't got my glasses on so I can't see a thing, and this totally unmans him. Then I say I'm waiting for a female friend, but he can keep me company if he likes. He won't know what to think but he'll soon be at your mercy!
