Heavy or painful periods

The Pill tends to reduce your periods, which many women appreciate! So do the patch and the ring.

The coil can also reduce your periods significantly if it contains hormones. Some coils release a low dose of hormones in the uterus, and this reduces periods a lot. On the other hand, traditional coils do tend to make periods heavier, so avoid these if you have unpleasant periods.

The Pill, the patch and the ring are all good for women with painful periods and can help make the time of the month easier, which is a godsend!
