Coil, implant

Coil, implant

Your needs: You're in a stable relationship with kids and you don't want any more for the moment. You've enough on your plate without worrying about your contraception. You're not averse to any particular method, and you're open to anything as long as it's practical and effective.

Our advice: Aside from the Pill (unless you're a smoker), the implant or coil (the copper IUD or hormonal IUS device) are both ideal for busy mums. They're long-lasting and are recommended for mums who want to leave a few years' gap between pregnancies. When you decide the time is right to have another baby, simply ask your doctor to remove the coil or come off the Pill.
