I'm not turned-on when he is

This often happens.  You can’t always be in sexual synch with your partner.  You’re two different people, so by definition this isn’t possible.

Most men have an impulsive attraction to their partners, but a huge number of women react with what is known as ‘responsive desire’, meaning that it’s the other person who sets their ball rolling.  The feeling of being desired, of being loved makes us want sex, which is classic female behaviour.  Some people think that this is strange, that female desire should mirror male, but this would be unnatural and impossible.

Some women do feel impulsive desire, but neither kind is ‘abnormal’.  The average women is turned on in response to their partner initiating lovemaking, so don’t feel bad about it!
