One night stands can be lots of fun, but not necessarily for everyone. Some people can easily differentiate between love and sex, men seem to be able to do this more easily and statistically have more casual relationships than women. Other people need both love and physical attraction for fulfilling sex, which tends to mean that once they’ve found the right person, they have a very satisfying love life.
The main thing is not being able to go through with one-night stands and embark on casual relationships, but to know what you want and feel comfortable with. If one-night stands leave you less than happy, don’t force yourself, you could end up feeling guilty, hurt and disappointed.
Maybe one day you’ll change your mind, or maybe you won’t, but the most important thing is not to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with. Enjoying casual sex doesn’t mean that you’re not capable of faithfulness or a deep bond, there’s time for everything in life and you have to go with what you feel is right at the time. Remember that you’re no different in this respect to anyone else.
