It's important for your relationship to spend time apart |
|
Why? To give yourselves space to breathe and adapt to living in each other's pockets. The other 351 days of the year, you may have different (or even completely separate) routines; so when you're suddenly glued to each other 24 a day it can choke you.
How? Unattach yourselves at the hip! You both need space, so spend time apart reading, swimming, hitting the shops or doing whatever you fancy. This way, you don't have to drag him to aquaerobics or to the shops, so there's less sacrifice all round!
However, don't give yourself so much space that you end up not sharing anything. The whole point of of going away together is to spend time together, so don't break off to do different activities more than a couple of times a week.
