How do you trust somone again after they've been unfaithful? Our expert's view

Our psychotherapist says:

Sandra reacted with wounded pride to Bry's infidelity. Pride is something that can be overcome, so things may be less serious than she thinks. He played away and she got her own back on him, but she never actually considered ending things with him. And despite the problems their relationship is going through, she still wants it to work, which is really encouraging.

Sandra's decided to stay with Bry, so she has to forgive him and herself. It won't be easy, but the worst is over. That said, if they can't bring themselves to forgive and trust each other again, they're better off apart.
