My relationship with Luke moved very fast. We fell for each other at a friend's party, and slept together the first night we met. We told each other we loved each other after a month and a half. All my girls kept saying they'd never seen me so happy, and I was totally smitten. We were planning to move in together, then one day I picked up a 'goodnight' text on his phone from from some girl I didn't know. The number was saved as Tom, but the message was signed Katy...

Betrayal
When I asked Luke who Tom was, he said "an old friend from uni."  But when I asked who Katy was, he just stood there transfixed. Then he started talking rubbish about how things were moving too fast between us, that he was scared, and that Katy was an 'old friend' he saw from time to time, but she meant nothing to him.  

I desperately wanted to forgive him and carry on as we were, but I just couldn't. Our relationship was based on trust, and he broke that trust. I gave him what for and threw him out. I've never seen him since, and he hasn't tried to call. I was gutted, but I'd do the same again. I'm through with the whole fairytale 'love at first sight' thing now.
