Have children but don't want more with new partner

I got married very young because I was pregnant. I had a beautiful relationship with my first husband, but after several years together we grew apart and split. There's no bad feeling and we don't hate each other. Then I met David. He treats my son Lucas as his own and we're the perfect family.  

I'm happy with what I've got
David has wanted us to have a baby of our own for a long time. We love each other so there's no reason why we shouldn't, but I can't explain why I don't want to have another baby. I think I'm scared I won't be able to love another child as much as I love Lucas. I'm also afraid it would have a negative effect on my relationship with David. He keeps going on and on about having a baby and I'm worried it will split us up.
