Generally, desire is specifically sexual: it's the impulse that makes us want to have sex. Libido is an all-encompassing word that means many things. Libido is the 'life impulse', where all our desires comes from, sexual or otherwise. But the popular use of the word is to refer to sexual desire, and only psychologists use it in a wider sense these days. | ||||||||||||||||
