Manicures, massages, facial treatments, epilation…they’re not just for women any more!
Men are also getting into pampering: male-only beauty salons have been doing business for years and they’re doing very well for themselves, with more and more clients.
Take the Eden Men Institute, for example. They provide high-quality beauty treatments for men in a masculine setting (about £30 for a facial and £10 for a manicure).
Another craze that’s really taken off in recent years is beauty products for men. Between 1997 and 2002 the face-care market for men grew by a whopping 87%, according to a study by L’Oréal. They reckon that by 2015, one in two men will be moisturising daily.
Finally, hair removal products for have also really taken off. If you still haven’t got to grips with your epilator, be very afraid: according to a study by Ipsos, one in five men now uses an epilator.
