What’s the ideal formula?
1 + 1 = 3 (you + me + us).
A lasting relationship is all about respecting each other’s space and identity, but sharing common ground. You need to find a balance somewhere between being independent and being part of a loving, caring couple. You remain an independent person but you have a common goal.
 
What is the perfect balance?
The perfect balance is unattainable, because it’s constantly evolving. Fusion couples who commit very early on in their relationship put their long-term happiness at risk if they don’t remain themselves, respect each other and give each other space to grow within their relationship.

So how do we retain our freedom and commit to a relationship?  
Freedom isn’t all about doing everything you want when you want, it’s about choosing to take on responsibilities too, whatever they might bring. This isn’t easy, particularly nowdays because we live in an egocentric society and we're very self-centred.
But if you want to make a relationship work you have to make these choices.
