A survey has revealed that women in the UK spend over £1.1 billion on make-up every month.
The average make-up bag costs £67 and London ladies' bags are valued at £59 while women in Cardiff are spending more than the rest of the UK on looking good with their bag contents costing almost £75. Women in the North East of England are among the biggest spenders, they have been found to carry over £66 worth of cosmetics around with them. The Northern Irish ladies are spending the least - just over £49.
The survey by Avon also showed that the most essential item for any woman is mascara, 62% of the women asked said this was their must-have make-up buy.
