For
more than 25 years, IVF has helped couples with fertility problems
to have children of their own. Since the birth of Louise Brown in
1978, over 70 000 children have been born through in-vitro fertilisation
and an estimated 30 000 women undergo treatment every year in the
UK. It's a long, painful route to pregnancy with a low success rate,
but thousands of you remain undeterred and are willing to make sacrifices
to have a baby. How far has IVF come since the seventies? What it
is like to go through?
