Felipe Oliveira Batista's collection has an equestrian theme. The Portugese designer was inspired by Belgian artist Berlinde De Bruyckere, who had a thing about horses.
He kicked off the show with a set of shocking horse head-dresses, for example...Essentially black and white, his collection is spiced up by some spectacular pieces in grey. We also loved the voluminous underwired black dresses, tent-style!
Very experimental and polished, yet very wearable, we really enjoyed this collection and we're looking forward to seeing more of Batista's über-contemporary designs in his sixth couture collection.
