John Galliano dreams up summer Haute Couture in the style of Gustav Klimt and presents a magnificent Dior collection inspired by the famous Austrian painter. In total, there are 40 designs exclusively reserved for the evening. Bouffants, swelling volumes and flower embroideries in an art deco spirit… the designer cultivates the fifties spirit established by Mr Dior himself and at the same time explores cuts initiated by Cristobal Balenciaga. In terms of make-up, Galliano eyes up the Cleopatra eye, revisited in a seventies trend. For the big finale, Galliano appears dressed as a painter. Is art the finality of Haute Couture?
