Marithé and François Girbaud are trying to stir consciences with an ecological message. As the inventors of stonewash (which industrially ages clothing with water and stones), the Girbaud duo are perhaps feeling a bit accountable for their role in the pollution of rivers!
Today, the designers employ their energy in developing 'clean' processes. By using a laser technique for washing out jeans, they're taking responsibility for the protection of the planet and its water reserves.
In their summer collection, all the models present a glacial palette with white, grey, silver or black tones. The clothes are interpreted in a rather 'junior' style, with a rock & roll trend, and are equally addressed at men and women. The rebel spirit is ultra stylish.
