English designer Vivienne Westwood, who at each of her shows, never fails to remind us that 'Leonard Peltier is innocent' by delivering her 'Active Resistance to Propaganda' speech*, is back with another message. This time, concerned with a law that the Labour party wants to introduce which will see suspects being detained without charge for 56 days, Vivienne Westwood takes this number and baptises her collection '56'. In natural beige linen first of all, then in the most luxurious satins, the models appear in clothes which sometimes enrobe them in such a way that they appear to be draped in their bed sheets! There's a tribal, rebel and rock & roll melange for clients who want to find their mark somewhere between cheeky chic of the 17th century and prostitution…
