The French look is a hard one to pin down: simple and relaxed, but planned down to the tiniest detail. French women may look the picture of glowing health with their perfectly bare faces, but 'natural' doesn't mean 'no make-up'. Contrary to popular belief, on the other side of the Channel, good taste is understated - in Paris it is always better to dress down, than to turn up to a soirée dressed to the nines.
