Elegance and restraint were the order of the day for the American designer, whose collection was a serene island in a sea of sparkly colour from other designers.
Sadly, it drew less press attention than other
more eye-catching shows, but was best viewed
with a long lens to do justice to the workmanship
in the embroidery and layering at which Ralph
Rucci excels.
The show even attracted Monsieur Lesage, the
world-famous French embroiderer, a presence
which confirmed the designer's talent.
