A very elegant collection from the expert of French couture herself, Dominique Sirop.
As an independent designer who is not part of
the big fashion groups like Chanel or LVMH,
she maintains a high level of workmanship in
her creations.
From tailored trousers to long muslin dresses,
she went in for long lines, which skimmed the
figure. Sparkle was subtle, never garish.
The simplest outfits were accessorised with giant necklaces, but jewellery was dispensed with altogether for some of her more elaborate creations, which spoke for themselves.
A lesson in laid-back French luxury.
