Well-known in the fashion world for his luxury mesh knitwear and stunning shows, Adam Jones has passed into the legendary realms of couture. The Englishman showed a collection featuring mesh, fur, animal skins and leather; mat and aged, decorated with studs. After a dark start to the show where black featured heavily, we changed tempo, with lighter tones, ranging from white to red-browns, with the occasional midnight blue piece. Mesh took on a haute couture look, with long knitted dresses in ecru, and openwork panels, before the collection took a Red Indian turn as the designer let his imaginative juices flow giving a "luxury sqaw" look to dreamcatcher and featherwork dresses. For day, a layered miniskirt worn with gaucho pants gave a rock 'n' roll/flamenco feel, while Swarovski crystals decorated crinoline skirts in pretty star shapes. Adam Jones presented a seductive collection of wildly chic pieces, which skilfully stopped short of looking flashy, in a stylishly efficient show.
