IIsabelle Ballu's Formula 1-themed show was full of energy, with champagne bottle and winner's cup motifs on sporty silhouettes. Bright shades of acid yellow, aniseed, pink and blue were toned down with more 'Ballu' colours like camel, grey and black. Trompe-l'oil layered bikinis were a hit, as were seatbelt-style belts that cinched in the waists of jumpsuits and long shorts. Also present were buttock-skimming shorts, handkerchief shirts and polo-necked mini dresses to show off curves, while cocktail dresses and striped silk mini-suits delighted buyers for markets of all ages. The Ballu woman for next summer is fresh, dynamic and singularly sexy… we can't wait to see what she comes up with for winter.
