Fashionistas were presented with mini sunshades, in a show set in a giant computer at Chanel, as Coco met James dean on the catwalk. In homage, as always to the house's classic styles, models came out in mouth-watering raspberry, pistachio and lemon tweed, along with elegant black, white and grey. Fresh white crocheted tops and dresses and slim-fitting Bermuda shorts gave a new silhouette, with bum-hugging stonewash denim on both girls and boys. Aged leather and tweed went with classic white T shirts for the men, as the girls strutted in supple leather ankle boots tied with ribbon. Bright geometric prints on shirts and dresses floated past in feather-light muslin and silk, before the models found their places on the keys of the giant keyboard, and Karl Largerfeld took his bow, accompanied by an army of Chanelised robots.
