Naoki Takizawa's collection for Issy Miyake was a Zen pause in the rush that is fashion week. A beautiful, restful show for the Japanese designer's 'bamboo' look for summer, with long-lined tunics, macramé dresses and pleated sarongs. A fabulous show of beach-fresh looks, saw the blue lagoon invading cropped tops and boleros, and lush green leaf prints harking back to Pacific island holidays. Silks and fringing for evening, on robes, tops and belts made for an elegant, exotic look, complete with woven bamboo and caging. Naoki Takizawa pulled off a rare feat in high fashion, a transgenerational collection for ladies who are looking for something truly comfortable and original
