As a follow-up to Propaganda, her last show, Vivienne Westwood served up "Active Resistance" (A.R), which gave us Che Guevara philosophy in Rembrandt colours. A flirty silhouette started the show, with butt-skimming shorts and stripes of all kinds, followed by an extravagant use of printed tulle and jersey in very British tones of plum, green and raspberry. Models tottered by in characteristic platforms and message T shirts, while the Che spirit was visible on trouser suits and evening dresses. As always, the waist was highlighted with clever cutting, in true Westwood style, with trains and taffeta in Dutch old masters colours for evening. A very precise brand of exaggerated elegance from the Queen of Fashion herself
