The BBC holds loads of competitions for various talents. Although most of them have closed for this year, check out the New Talent website for loads of tips on entering for next year.
You can also take a peek at some of the winners from this year to see what the judges are looking for, before you have a go yourself next year.
There are also lots of other talent competitions on the net but avoid those that charge high entry fees. These are usually scams that take your money and actually ever hold a competition. Be safe by sticking to reputable sites like the BBC where it’s free to enter.
The prize for BBC3 and New Talent New Film Makers Awards this year was a slot on BBC3 and £5,000 for the winner with the two runners-up each receiving £2,500. The prizes are great, but the competition is fierce, so get preparing for next year now.
