From the same network as The Walking Dead, Preacher is due to star Dominic Cooper (you know, the hot boyfriend from Mamma Mia), and Joe Gilgun from Misfits and This Is England fame.
Much like The Walking Dead, Preacher is based on a cult comic about a possessed preacher who puts rights to wrongs in between his sermons. Yup, it's fair to say the days of the Voulez-Vous-singing groom-to-be if LONG gone.

According to IGN, the story: "revolves around Jesse Custer, a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a powerful creature that has escaped from heaven. Along with his ex-gal, Tulip, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy, the three embark on a journey to literally find God".
