Beyonce Knowles is being sued for $100 million by a computer games company.
The 30-year-old star - who is currently pregnant with her first child - has had legal action brought against her after she reportedly 'abandoned' a dance project to create motion-sensor dance video game Starpower: Beyonce.
Beyonce's request to dismiss the lawsuit, by company, Gate Five was dismissed by Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Charles Ramos.
Gate Five say the singer's abrupt leaving of the project meant they lost an initial $7 million investment, causing them to miss out on $100 million worth of profits and causing 70 people to be made redundant a week before Christmas 2010.
However, lawyers for Beyonce claim she had the right to pull out after the company was unable to fulfil contractual obligations to obtain $5 million.
Judge Ramos made the decision to reject Beyonce's team's request without any explanation, meaning she is liable for a deposition.
Gate Five is seeking damages for the cost of the project and are hoping to get an injunction which would mean she is unable to work on any future computer games.
