Brad Pitt snubs George Clooney for best man role

Poor George Clooney has been passed over as best man by BFF Brad Pitt.

Those lucky few who have an invite to what will surely be the celebrity wedding of the year are no doubt disappointed that they won’t get to hear gorgeous George spill the beans on Brad in a best man speech.

But Tree Of Life actor Brad, who will soon be walking down the aisle with Angelina Jolie, has said that he’ll let his former Ocean’s Eleven co-star be an usher if he really wants.

It’s surprising that Brad doesn’t have George in mind for the best man slot, as the pair have been firm besties for a number of years.

The dad-of-six has revealed that it wasn’t his decision to snub the famous bachelor for best man, but actually due to the fact that George isn’t really all that keen on weddings.

The Fight Club actor told the Independent: "George doesn't like institutions."

He swiftly added: "Perhaps he could show people to their seats."

George was married back in 1989 to Mad Men actress Talia Balsam, but it seems he was so traumatised by their break-up and divorce four years later that he has hated weddings ever since.

With George’s reputation as a prankster, it’s probably a risky decision from the world's most famous bridegroom-to-be to let him seat the A-list attendees.

If given the responsibility, he's probably capable of placing whoopee cushions under everyone’s seats!
