Cheryl Cole was in an unfortunate late night fender-bender with best friend and manager will.i.am.
The hungry pair were heading to McDonalds at 3.30am after a long day of recording together in the studio.
Shocking photos of the pair emerged with bloody faces and Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am, who driving the vehicle, was pictured leaving hospital in a neck brace after suffering whiplash and breaking his nose.
The 29-year-old Call My Name singer also suffered several injuries from the smash and has been spotted wearing a black sling on her right arm.
The Geordie lass is clearly a tough cookie though, as she’s wasted no time in going straight back to work returning from LA to London a mere 48 hours later.
After the accident the Girls Aloud singer reassured her followers on Twitter, writing: “Don’t worry me and @iamwill are fine, promise x”
In response to many concerned tweets from fans, Cheryl and her PA also uploaded to Twitter several photos of the smiling singer, albeit with her damaged arm supported in a black sling and cradled by presenter Dave Berry.
The former X Factor judge had an early start at Capital FM to promote her new single Under The Sun, but she seemed determined not to shirk her work responsibilities, tweeting the hashtag “#GetUpAndGetItOn”.
Her PA then cheekily wrote “One arm bandit but trust me her mouth still works!? #nothingthematterwithher?”
Cheryl has maintained a sense of humour about the disastrous late-night McDonalds misson, reportedly joking to friends: “I ended up having an Unhappy Meal instead.”
A source told the Daily Mirror: “They were both incredibly shaken up by the incident. Cheryl felt dazed for quite a while afterwards. But despite people urging her to rest and relax, she insisted on getting on her plane and getting back into the swing of things.
“She's a workaholic and in this respect, it's a good thing as it will take her mind off what happened.”
It seems like having some time off to recover is off the cards for Cheryl, as she’s only got a few weeks before the start of her first UK solo tour on October 3.
Hopefully she’ll be back to full strength soon!
