Karl Lagerfeld thinks Pippa Middleton should keep her face hidden.

The legendry fashion designer has been raving about Prince William's wife Kate Middleton, 30, but seems less than enamoured by her younger 28-year-old sister Pippa.

He told Grazia magazine: "Kate Middleton has a nice silhouette and she is the right girl for that boy. I like that kind of woman, I like romantic beauties.

"On the other hand, her sister struggles."

Pippa shot to fame as Kate's Maid Of Honour at her royal wedding to Wills, 30, last year.

It was even speculated that Pippa and her figure-hugging dress - which attracted attention to her now legendary bum - stole the spotlight from Kate.

But German Karl, 78, certainly doesn't think so.

He added: "I don't like [Kate's] sister's face. She should only show her back."

Karl is not afraid to speak his mind - he sparked a backlash earlier this year when he labelled singer Adele, 23, "fat".

He wrote in a French newspaper: "She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."

One woman Karl does think looks good is 38-year-old designer Victoria Beckham.

He said: "She is great. I like her a lot. I have known her for many years.

"She had a career as a singer. She has a beautiful husband and stunning children and now she makes a career in fashion.

"And that body, after four children. There are not so many who have a body like that. She is very disciplined.

"We have the same eating habits. We did a full fashion shoot with her styled as Coco Chanel in less than three hours."
