The Coronation Street star will don a fake baby bump in the soap after her character Tina McIntyre offered to have a child for Gary Windass and Izzy Armstrong.
Michelle, 25, told TV Times: "When Natalie Gumede, who plays Kirsty, wore pregnancy padding, I used to stroke it every day and treated her like a real pregnant lady.
"I bet I'll start eating more and getting out of my chair really slowly without bending my knees."
Michelle recently split from her pop star boyfriend Max George, 24, who once admitted that they'd talked about having children together.
He even revealed last year that he got worried when a fan congratulated him after they thought Michelle was pregnant.
Max said: "Someone tweeted me saying, 'I am so happy Michelle is pregnant' and I was like, 'I don't know about this'.
"I had a little panic and rang her. She told me she was shopping in a baby shop looking for a present for her cousin's baby. It would be quite weird if I had found out through Twitter. Imagine that!"
Newly single Michelle recently picked up Best Soap Actress at the TV Choice Awards - an accolade that meant more to her than any of her Sexiest Female titles.
Michelle thinks she picked up the award because viewers connect to her character.
She said: "I think people vote for me because they can relate to Tina, especially girls. I don't think it's because she looks great. Tina doesn't make a lot of effort with her appearance, which is brilliant for me.
"I go into make-up, have a bit of base put on, some mascara and then I'm done. It'll be no different with the baby bump."
