Courtney Love hit with lawsuit by former assistant
Courtney Love's in trouble over allegations she asked her former assistant to perform unethical tasks including counterfeiting legal documents and hiring a computer hacker.
Jessica Labrie has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages after accusing the 48-year-old of intentionally neglecting to pay her because she refused to “commit fraudulent, unlawful and unethical acts.”
Claiming she typically worked more than 60 hours a week for the star from June 2010 to July 2011, Jessica alleges she had no choice but to quit when she realised she wasn’t going to get paid by the Hole frontwoman.
Jessica is suing Courtney for wrongful termination, wage and breach of contract.
Her suit reportedly doesn't specify what documents she was asked to alter or the reasons behind Courtney’s request for a hacker.
Courtney is no stranger to court, having publicly battled for the rights over her late husband Kurt Cobain's Nirvana catalogue, and in early 2012 she ran into trouble with a former landlord who filed an eviction lawsuit.
It's been revealed that Courtney’s former assistant is also writing a juicy tell-all book about her time with the controversial rocker, which is tentatively titled Get Me A Xanax.
Promising to lift the lid on the life of the troubled rock widow and her difficult relationship with her 19-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain, the book looks set to be an absolute page-turner!
