Dirty Dancing, the film that made Patrick Swayze's name and had us all quote "no one puts baby in the corner" approximately 903 times during our lifetimes is being remade for television and we don't know whether to be delighted at a fresh new take on the movie, or horrified that the silver screen is taking our beloved movie and *shudders* rebooting it.
ABC studios has announced that they will be developing a three hour remake of the original movie and the plot will be more or less the same as the original. Since the remake has just been announced, there is no word yet on who will direct and, more importantly, who will play Patrick Swayze's timeless character. They're also being very enigmatic about why on earth it needs to be three hours!
