Elizabeth Hurley’s son has filmed scenes as an extra on Neighbours. Ten-year-old Damian, whose father is the American businessman and film producer Steve Bing, appears to have been bitten by the acting bug. His encouraging mum reportedly sorted him out with his first acting experience on the long-running Aussie soap.

The 47-year-old actress and model revealed the exciting news on Twitter, writing: “My son totally overexcited as he’s visiting the Neighbours set today.”

A few hours later she added: “My son in heaven - he got to be an extra in Neighbours today.”

The young aspiring actor managed to film the cameo while in Melbourne, as both he and his mum are currently staying with Liz’s fiancé Shane Warne, the former Australian cricketer.

It’s unknown whether this will lead to any further acting jobs for the schoolboy, but it’s clear that his mum will support him if he does choose a career in the performing arts.

Liz is no stranger to TV herself having recently guest-starred in fourteen episodes of Gossip Girl, playing a cougar who makes the moves on 25-year-old Nate Archibald, played by TV heartthrob Chace Crawford.

She also had a brief film career in the late nineties, starring in Austin Powers and Bedazzled, but in recent years Liz has focussed more on her modelling and designing bikinis for her successful swimwear range.

Her four-year marriage to businessman Arun Nayar ended in divorce last year.
