The couple - who are already parents to Daniel, 11, Emily, nine, and three-year-old Daisy - are now making plans for tragic Poppy's funeral.
The couple said in a statement: "Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby.
"Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4th in London. Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts.
"We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected."
Dawn - Gary's wife of 12 years - was eight and a half months into her pregnancy.
The news comes at a particularly difficult time, as Gary's band mate Mark Owen has just welcomed his third child with wife Emma.
And Robbie Williams' wife Ayda is due to give birth next month.
Gary excitedly announced he and Dawn were expecting back in April.
Gary, 41, tweeted: "My wife and I are expecting our 4th child #Anotherowngoal."
A string of stars took to Twitter to support Gary.
And boyband JLS tweeted: "We send our condolences to @GBarlowOfficial and his family during this tough time..our thoughts and prayers with you..Marv and the boys x."
