The poshest party of the year has been announced, and it looks like the cream of the Hollywood crop has been invited! Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth will be hosting a glamorous afternoon with a reception at Buckingham Palace, and unfortunately it’s more than likely than none of us are about to get invited.

Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth are partnering up to host a sensational palace party for Hollywood’s finest.

The soiree is being held in honour of The Royal Academy of Dramatics Arts, of which the Queen is patron, and the cream of the British acting crop have been invited.

Guests will include Cate Blanchett, Helen Mirren, David Tennant and Sir David Attenborough, and of course Benedict Cumberbatch has scored an invitation. Do you think he will get snapped chatting with Kate Middleton? Do you think the internet will explode?

Julian Fellowes, writer and creator of Downton Abbey has also been invited to the party, and we suspect it’s because Kate is a huge fan of the show. Allan Leech who plays Tom Branson in the series has said: “I was at an event with Prince William…he actually said, ‘I’m a big fan of the show. Only now that my wife’s had a baby.’”

Around 250 guests will be attending the exclusive event, including directors, producers, playwrights, actors and teachers. Want to catch some of them going
in? Be at Buckingham Palace on 17th February from 6pm. You won’t miss them!

It looks like the royal family are beginning to enjoy hanging out with the rich and famous, as Prince William sang with Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi at the Winter Whites Gala and will be presenting a BAFTA award to Dame Helen Mirren just a day before the palace party.

It sounds like Benedict Cumberbatch will be having a pretty busy week with the BAFTAs and the Palace party, but we’re all wondering what he will be getting up to on the 14th February, especially since he has been named the most desirable Valentine’s date, topping a poll that left David Beckham and Leonardo DiCaprio beaten by the Sherlock star. We think this is far enough. We love you Benedict.
