Katy Perry's ex-boyfriend dies after "killing his landlady"
Sons Of Anarchy and OC star Johnny - who dated the singer for 18 months in 2005/06 - is thought to have taken his own life after allegedly killing his 81-year-old landlady on Wednesday morning.
Troubled Johnny was described to be in a "drug-induced frenzy" when it's claimed he bludgeoned Catherine Davis.
Neighbours had called police when they heard a woman screaming and then witnessed Johnny attacking two men with a piece of wood.
The male victims were badly beaten and 28-year-old Johnny is said to have shown "super-human strength", which could be because he had taken PCP or meth.
He is then believed to have either jumped or fallen to his death from the property, where he was understood to be renting a room.
Police arrived at the Los Feliz home to find Catherine and her cat beaten to death inside the house, while Johnny's body lay on the driveway.
The 28-year-old had spent six weeks in prison for assault with a deadly weapon and was released from prison just six days before the bizarre LA incident.
LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told ABC News affiliate KABC: "The best we're piecing together now is that it appears that some type of altercation occurred inside of the house resulting in the death of the woman.
"Then this individual ran outside, had an altercation with a couple of neighbours, ran back into the house and by the time we got here, he had fallen or had somehow died on the driveway.
"He appeared to have died from some type of fall, either from the stairway, or from the balcony, or from one of the roofs."
Firework singer Katy, 27, hasn't addressed the drama on Twitter, but is said to be deeply affected by her ex's death.
A source told USMagazine.com: "She is devastated. She had to separate from him to get ahead and focus on her career. He was in trouble then and she couldn't help him. A lot of her songs were partially inspired by him.
"I know The One That Got Away and Circle the Drain are partly about him, as well as Travis McCoy. But she was young and it was a time in her life she cherishes."
