Kristen Stewart's first red carpet appearance since scandal
Despite laying low for the past month, Kristen Stewart couldn’t hide away forever and has made her first red carpet appearance since news of the affair scandal broke.
Following the revelation that the 22-year-old actress was cheating on Robert Pattinson with the married director from Snow White And The Huntsman, Kristen dropped her promotional duties and shied away from the public eye.
As her heartbroken Twilight co-star moved his things out of the LA home they both shared and gave his first set of awkward interviews after the scandal, Kristen silently sought comfort in the arms of her mum Jules.
But the actress returned to the spotlight last night to promote new film On The Road, making her first red carpet appearance at the Toronto Film Festival.
The actress looked thin and at times overwhelmed, but was dressed in a stunning sheer lace and floral creation, with her long brunette hair worn loose but swept back at the front.
She spent time signing autographs for fans, but was watched over by her publicist Ruth Bernstein who went to great pains to ensure that Kristen’s first red carpet outing went without a hitch.
Meanwhile estranged boyfriend Robert Pattinson was on the other side of the continent over 2,500 miles away, attending the MTV Video Music awards with the rest of the Twilight cast.
At the VMAs the stars from the hit vampire franchise gave fans a first look at the trailer for the final instalment Breaking Dawn: Part 2.
It remains to be seen if Robert and Kristen will both attend the premiere of the last Twilight Saga film which is set to be released on 16th November.
