Kylie Minogue has been offered £1 million to join Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones on the judging panel of the UK version of 'The Voice'.
While BBC chiefs hoped to secure the 'Spinning Around' hitmaker's place on the show with the huge pay cheque, Kylie - whose sister, Dannii, was a judge on 'The X Factor' until earlier this year - is believed to have asked for more cash.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We have held initial discussions with her but unfortunately we are not yet at the stage where a deal has been done.
"We'd love to have her on the show but we can't offer the size contracts as 'The X Factor' so money could be a stumbling block."
With the pint-size pop star reportedly having demanded around £2.5 million to appear on 'The Voice'. BBC staff are said to be infuriated as 2,000 jobs are set to be cut at the network in a bid to save money.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Great. Kylie gets another million quid and we get the sack."
Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am had previously been linked with a judging role on 'The Voice'.
A source recently said: "will.i.am is 95 per cent a done deal. He is a big star and loves nurturing new talent. He shoots from the lip, and will not be afraid to tell it like it is. Although I doubt 'The Voice' will be as bitchy as 'The X Factor'."
