Lady Gaga lands first film role in Machete Kills
has already dominated the pop world, so it stands to reason that she would try to conquer Hollywood too.
The Born This Way singer has landed a film role starring alongside Charlie Sheen, Amber Heard, Vanessa Hudgens, Mel Gibson
and Jessica Alba
in Machete Kills.
Directed by Robert Roderiquez and due to be released next year, Machete Kills is the sequel to his 2010 film Machete.
The 26-year-old will be playing La Chameleón, and in the first promotional shots Gaga is seen gripping a smoking pistol as she seductively poses in lingerie
with a dead white wolf draped around her shoulders.
The Telephone singer obviously impressed veteran director Roderiquez, 44, with her acting ability.
Following filming with the pop star he tweeted: “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”
In response a thrilled Gaga wrote on Twitter: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”
The first film starred Lindsay Lohan
and although she’s not appearing in the sequel, the two young entertainers appear to have struck up a close friendship recently.
After partying at hot celebrity hangout Chateau Marmont with Lindsay and Lana Del Ray, Gaga posted photos of her and Lindsay having a slumber party on her Little Monsters website.
A source told the Daily Mail: “[They were] watching old movies and playing board games [at the] slumber party.
“The three of them had dinner in the garden on Tuesday night at Chateau, and then Lindsay and Gaga ran upstairs to play dress up and came down in different outfits.”
Next time can we get an invite? Please?
