Lindsay Lohan "questioned by police" over jewellery theft
According to TMZ.com the starlet was “very cooperative” with the authorities and at this time they are not considering her to be a suspect.
This scandal will come as a blow to the Mean Girls star, who's currently trying to get her career back on track, shooting several films back-to-back after a long acting hiatus.
Recently Lindsay completed filming Liz & Dick, the Elizabeth Taylor TV biopic, and independent film The Canyons, written by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis.
Back in April, she was famously charged with misdemenour theft and probation violation for shoplifting a necklace from a jewellery store in LA.
The actress was in and out of court several times last year in relation to the high profile case and after pleading no contest in court, Lindsay was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service.
But due to prison overcrowding the actress was given an ankle bracelet monitor and put under supervised house arrest instead.
Although she did have to complete her community service at a Los Angeles morgue, as well as attend therapy sessions.
Apart from a hit and run and car crash earlier this year, Lindsay has remained relatively out of trouble.
