We were chuffed to hear that Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan were engaged this week, but we couldn’t help but think how about Max George must be feeling. But Michelle’s ex fiancé has insisted he’s happy for the pair – do we believe him?!

Max George has no bitter feelings towards his ex-fiancée Michelle Keegan.

The Wanted singer, 25, split from Corrie star Michelle last year, before she went on to date Mark.

The actress confirmed rumours this week that she and Mark, both 26, were engaged.

And though he's prone to the odd bitch-fight with One Direction, Max isn't prepared to squabble with his ex.

He told Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones on Daybreak: "I’m actually really happy for her.

"She’s a wonderful girl and I’ve met Mark and he seems like a really nice bloke so I wish them all the luck in the world."

Mark proposed to Michelle during a romantic holiday in Dubai, with a ring he'd designed himself.

The smitten former TOWIE hunk is said to have chosen the country because it holds special memories for them both - they first got together at a Dubai New Year's Eve party last year.

But it seems it didn't all go to plan, as the "monster rock" doesn't fit Michelle's fingers.

She tweeted yesterday: "Cant wait 2get my ring back nxt week after its been adjusted,so many people askin 2 see it,n I have 2 show them a bare hand! #skinnyfingers."

Meanwhile, Max has been linked to Mark's ex-lover Lucy Mecklenburgh, but things quickly fizzled out between the pair.
